Dear Melanie, I'm very sorry to read of the tragic loss of your precious, beloved baby son Luke, and I want to offer my heartfelt sympathy to you and your family. Please accept my condolences without taking offence, because I don't know you; but I really hope that you will find comfort and hope in these verses. We can entrust our dear, loving, God Jehovah to do what is right and just, and merciful. - Genesis 18:25b says in part: "Is the Judge of all the earth not going to do what is right?" Thus you can be assured that you can safely entrust the future prospects of your precious baby boy Luke to Jehovah, the “Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort who comforts us in all our tribulation" -- 2 Corinthians 1:3 Many tragic deaths happen because of what the Bible calls, "time and unforeseen occurrence that befall them all." - Ecclesiastes 9:11b Our loving God doesn't cause sad things to happen to our loved ones, as James 1:13 helps us to understand, "When under trial, let no one say: "I am being tried by God. For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone." If you go to www.jw.org and click on 'publications' near the top of the page and then scroll down to row 4, there is a comforting tract, "Can the dead really live again?" This is very comforting. Please know that I truly care. Take care. Sincerely, Cindy Boyer
